Unhappy Medical knowledge???

anyone here in the Med. field??

I am trying to find out what tendons are in the leg (shin to foot) to be exact?

My daughter was standing on a glass coffee table, it broke, and cut her shin to the bone cutting two tendons in half. The largest tendon in the leg is the main one i'm concerned with. She cannot move her foot up or down. I need to find an Orthapedic surgeon ASAP to repair her severed tendons.

I am searching wikipedia for info but not really finding what i'm looking for.

Can anyone help a brutha out?

thanks for all the input guys. Can't reach anyone today at all, have to wait till tomorrow morning, first thing i'll be at the Dr's office in Tomball that was recomended to us. She seems to be ok for now, it hurts her. It hurts me even more to see her in the pain that she's in. Keeping her on her vicodin so she's been sleeping.

of course she went to the ER, via $2000 I mean via Ambulance.

Dr's called the ortho surgeon but said to wait and have her there on Tuesday morning first thing.. We were at teh ER for about 4 hrs. till 11 last night.

Luckily, an old high school friend of ours was tending to my daughter, what a great comfort that was. I can't thank him enough. He told me some things i didn't want to hear but it was the truth.

I will be at the Dr's around 8 am tomorrow and try to get this taken care of as fast as possible. We were told that it wouldn't make much of a difference if we had to wait 1-2 days to have the procedure performed. They put in 4 stitches, covered it, bandaged it, and put a splint on and then sent us on our way home.

They say she will take a long time to recover fully, (this of course is just a general doctors guestimation) She is very involved in sports and this is going to set her way back, she most likely will not be running track or playing BB next year.

I sure hope that everything turns out ok with my baby.

I want to thank Teresa for her love and support as this has really taken a tough toll on me.

I love my girl and it hurts to see my baby in this type of pain.

Thanks alot to Mullato for taking the time to scan in some material from his schools med books to show me more details of what i've been looking for on the net.

Texas Childrens Hospital has always been wonderful to me. Here is the number to my sons surgeon, Dr. Wesson 8328223135, there are several doctors that are available 24/7.
