Sweet ride. I'd love to rod out something like that. I'm a weird-o though, I'd put a LS1 engine in it and chop the top (no channel though Scooter!). Chop the hood, throw a rack and pinion front end under it.... yeah. Of course, I'll never be able to afford that, but I can dream!

You lucky devil.

Hey Witchdoctor, keep us up to date with pictures and stuff. My dad and I just bought this truck for my grandparent's 50th anniversary in April. We are giving it to them this weekend. It looks good in these pics, but we had to have the top half of the cab re-painted, and the bottom of the doors fixed. http://www.autobarnclassiccars.com/v...s.aspx?Item=59
This is my grandmother's dream truck from the year she was born. This is the last year of trucks made before all the factories got turned into military factories for the war.

I would go with a late model drivetrain, maybe bag it, but leave the exterior stock. That way when you smoke some late model mustang it messes them all up.

I need to get my 70 Z28 home one of these days and get to work on it.

From what we have been seeing, you just described the hottest setup on the market right now. If you put a late model fuel injected drive train and update the interior with the electronics and such (Retro it out) this thing will be worth a fortune. Personally, yours looks real nice as it is, and I would leave it alone.

Z06 drive line in it. We are looking for a good vette to do that to. My dad has a '63 split rear window, but it is numbers matching and is worth too much stock. Hopefully we can find a stingray to retro. Your Z28 would be nice done like that.

Actually I have an LT4/T56 to go in it, with 4th gen leather interior including dash... just have to decide if I am putting the twin turbos back on it or not...

I think it would be worth more if I didn't modernize it. I'm still thinking about its future and I will be posting pics of progress...although it will be slow progress.

I just got it a couple of hours ago...Man...I love the transmission that you truly have to double clutch. Vacuum operated wipers and an 8 track player(obviously not original) hehe...I'm as giddy as the perverbial schoolgirl
