Bike(s):
2006 Yamaha R1

I'm not bashing the bike either. I've always wanted one just because they are really good bikes. Like R6racer said, posting single lap times from 2010 trying to prove it's a superior bike is funny. Is it a good bike that sells by the truckload, most definitely. Is it the best bike? In comparison to the rest of the field and based on similar performance comparisons I'd have to say no (not that 95% on MH could exploit all the performance of these bikes)

The Panigale S with full Ohlins is going to cost you 22K; the Aprilia Factory 21K, the HP4 around the same. So for some folks that want the best suspension in the world and do not want the expensive maintenance of the Italian Superbikes, the 17K Fireblade is a bargain! Most numb-nuts on here wouldn't know what to do with 190HP superbike anyway, so all this talk about the Hondas being underpowered and whatnot is total ! I'll take handling and suspension over HP output any day! Bevo's point is that for 17K you get a reliable Superbike with full Ohlin's suspension! If you were to take a regular Fireblade and add all the same components the SP has it would cost you significantly more money! So you people bashing the Honda think it's over-priced or what? If you don't like the Honda, then don't buy it! If you need more HP because you have a small and have money coming out of your buy the Italian bikes!
Does ohlins on my grom count? Or what about the ohlins on my Aprilia rsvr? Or the ohlins on my r6?

If you're only talking about riding it on the street is the ohlins going to make any difference? Are you honestly riding the bike so hard that non ohlins can't keep up?

Also af1 has an Aprilia rsv4 factory for $17k and it comes with much better electronics and isn't super under powered.

Also with your comment about hp and size being inversely related the you just admitted grom owners have giant , thanks.... Creeper.

As far as class leading torque I think you are forgetting about the EBR who has 101 ft lbs I believe, which is 20 or so more than the Honda? It's also not Italian, nor is a bmw.

I bash on Honda only to even out bevo's undying love for them. Get whatever bike you want and the one that gives YOU the most grins per mile.

Nothing against you schooley, you're entitled to your own opinion.
I too like this iteration of the Fireblade.

Also Honda has never won a manufactures championship in wstk, which is the closest thing racing stock bikes. Last time a rider one the championship on a Honda was 2000 and probably wasn't on a Cbr1000rr.

Btw I'm an r6 rider now, same as falcon, it's the best bike I could afford. At my skill level any bike will go as fast as I can take it.
No, you mentioned super stock. How'd they do?

I don't know what this has to do with the suckiness of the CBR but I have a deposit down on a '15 1299s.

What metric are we using for determining what's better? I believe it lost a few races and didn't get pole position a few races as well. What bike was best those weekends?

cbr1000rr? Oh yeah...I passed a lot of those at COTA on my NAKED bike. I think arguing suspension is dumb...people have their preferences. I have a bike with Ohlins and I have BMW's electronic. I actually like the versatility of the electronic suspension.

I think posting that you passed a type of bike on the track is dumb. Since I bet a 250cc bike would destroy you. Rider skill at track days is much more important than the bike you are on.

So if Honda is the superior bike hands down based off of MM93's championship and the team and constructors titles then why did Pedrosa finish forth to two Yamahas?

I understand where you are coming from and my hat is of to Honda but your logic is asinine.
