Put an Íhlins suspension on your bike and see if the SP is overpriced

Well, according to HardRacing.com, Ohlins forks and shock should run in the neighborhood of about $3k. Plus the $13k OTD of the bike makes it $16k-ish. At $17k+TTL for the other I'd say that the first option is a little cheaper as far as suspension goes.

How much is installation? There's a few other parts on the SP as well

I was going to mention that but missed the edit time window. Was going to say that adding the brembo and engine mods it's not that bad.

Don't forget the Brembos! Isn't there some upgrade to the engine components as well?

Plus it's a limited edition Repsol. It would cost you more to convert a CBR to a SP than if you just bought a SP. The pistons and rods are hand selected by weight (balanced)

Not sure about the wheels. The SP comes with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 Tires

Because it's a replica of Marquez's MotoGP bike. The CBR (non SP) frame and swingarm is black. See CBR pics in this thread

I'm not a hater at all.. I don't understand how you go from one of the best looking liter bikes in 07:

2007 honda cbr1000rr 2 600x0w

To the fugly weird angled front and mid fairings on the 08-current. And then Honda has the to keep essentially a 8 year old bike, slap some ohlins on it, and some sweet stickers and put a $17k price tag on it?

And Brembos and hand-selected rods and pistons for weight and balance and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V2 Tires all in a limited edition
