You said no 250cc bike could beat you. Didn't even specify being at cota which is a very power dependant track. You're a level 2 rider, there are cmra racers that will beat you on a 250. Which isn't even the real point, the real point is that you passing a bike at a track day has no relevant meaning to whether a bike is good or not.

Also your bike still has 3x the hp of a moto3 bike. So how's that for technology beating out skill?

True, it could be but at this moment it's still listed as "prototype". Plus, it'll probably be about as "production" as Ducati's Desmosedici was. That is, very limited and expensive.

Real Hondas have V4's. Just like real Porsches have flat-6's.

Honda motogp=v4
Cbr1000rr = inline 4

Ducati motogp = v4
Panigale= v2

Yamaha motogp = cross plane inline 4
R1 = cross plane inline 4

If motogp technology is supposed to trickle down to production bikes why don't most of the manufacturers use the same engine config? Yamaha and now Aprilia are the only ones(don't know what Suzuki is running).

In the 80's Honda's superbike had a V4

Wow... 30 years ago they used the same engine config. Was it a 2 stroke v4 like the motogp bikes of that day? Just wish Honda would make a good v4 and put it in a sport bike.

They did in the RC30 and RC45. Both were the high side of $40k.

That's funny since they'll probably be limited to the manufacturers gentleman's agreement of1188mph. So, you can hit 188 for $15k or you can hit 188 for $100k. It just becomes a "look how big my bank account is" at some point.

I don't think its about top speed but rather how quickly you get there.

If acceleration is what you want the h2r is probably going to be cheaper.

Probably be able buy 2 H2Rs for one of the Hondas. Kawi will probably be more available too.

Some mfrs have their signature engine config... the one that most define their reason-of-being. Honda make bikes with all kinds of different engine config and cyl count - some with great commercial success - but V4 has always been their calling card... and most dear to their heart and soul.

As for the Brembo and Ohlins blingbling... well, all good and well I suppose. Just seems to me like dating a purdy asian chick, who dyed her hair blonde and wear aqua color contacts. Honda owns Showa and Nissin and can cook 'em just fine without foreign ingredients. Personally, I would save a few grand and go with the "base" model and be just as happy.

Now, if this were an ape, or a Duc, or a Tripe... yeah sure, bring on the TTX and NIX30!

The Nissin master cylinders are garbage and also the showa suspension isnt that bad. The calipers work fine though.

They put the Brembo calipers and left the Nissin MC. That is mind blowing.
