Trey Walkers 2014 Season Thanks!!

Itís hard to believe the 2014 season is over. Trey started this season on a new bike with a new tire brand and no experience on a full size machine. 2014 was supposed to be a learning year. I had no idea that he would have so much success this season.

2014 CMRA Season:
44 Podium finishes 19 -1sts, 17-2nds, and 8-3rds
2nd Overall in Formula 2, Formula 5, and Formula 6
3rd Overall in D Superstock, D Superbike, and Lightweight Twins Novice
5th Overall in Formula 3
7th Overall in Formula 4 (Trey was the only rider to consistently finish in the top 10 on anything other than an EX250! He even put the mighty RS150R in the top 5 a few times!)
11th Overall in Solo30 Ultra Lightweight
14th Overall in E Superstock
10th overall in the 2014 Top Novice Rankings
Personal best laptimes: MSRH - 1:44:0, MSRC - 1:22:4, and TWS (Texas World Speedway) - 1:54:2

2014 WERA GNF:
1st WERA Super Mini
2nd Sportsman Lightweight Twins
2nd WERA National Challenge Lightweight Twins and Formula 2 (The rider that was crowned National Champion in both of these classes finished 3rd behind Trey in both of these races!)

I think thatís pretty impressive for a 12 year old rider. (BTW he just turned 12 in October) Trey has had no formal training or coaching. Up to this point heís been riding on instinct. He's learned a lot from his fellow riders. Trey wanted to thank Zach Vonler, Thomas Eimermacher, and Isachar Perez for the great racing this season. He learned a lot from you guys. I want to thank you all for treating him like just another racer and not like a kid. He needed that.

Trey would also like to thank the following for their help and support this season. (Most of the following are his words.)

Above all I would like to thank for watching over me and my fellow racers.
Shawn Wright, Thank you for the fast SV650. (Dads note: I just realized that Treys bike is 3 years older than he is!)
Steve MacNamara and Lonestar Track days, Thank you for the extra track time and advice!
John Hutchinson and South Central Race Center, Thank you for the Pirelli tires. If you want to win you need to be on Pirellis!
Jimmy Cambora, Thank you for working on my suspension and the magic bounces!
Steve Upchurch, Thank you for the advice you gave my dad!
Mike Paterson and Totally Graphic Designs, Thank you for making my bikes look great!
Charlie at PSR, Thank you for the Support!
Andrew Forsythe, Thank you for being my Crew Chief this season!
Ryan Andrews, Thank you for the advice!
The CMRA Staff and Cornerworkers, Thank you all for the hard work so we can race.
A special thanks to all my fellow racers that helped me get to the WERA GNF this year. It was an amazing experience.
Finally, Thank you Mom and Dad for your love and support and for letting me do what I love to do. Autumn, Thank you for being my big sister and for putting up with me racing. I love you all!

I cant wait till next season!
