Pilot I "think" by AGV. Awesome suit. love it, but same problems as others. 1st one was made & it didn't fit at all. The second did, but both took a very long time to be delivered. February May not happen.

Honestly I'd buy off the rack or a standard size then give Jol to alter it. Done!

I'm 5' 6" and 160lbs. Athletic build. I bought an Alpinestars Motegi suit and had Barnacle Bill raise the knees 1 1/2 inches. Now the movement in my left leg is severely limited, so I have a bad taste in my mouth with that option. I've got $1000 in a suit that I can't use.

Did you tell him to raise the knees or did he take measurements and alter it for you? There are a lot of tailors that can get a suit fitted correctly the first time.

I just told him to raise the knees.

I'm planning on Pilot getting it right the first time.

So you can't blame him, he did what you paid him to do. Just like tailoring a suit you take to the tailor and they mark it up and make it fit.

You might want to look into a company in the north east thats called Vanson leathers. They are a usa company and they do all the work on the race suit there. They will take your measurements and make you a leather suit to fit those measurements. I purchase a off the rack suit 10 years ago which I still have. I was in the north east in December 2013 and stopped by their factory and was measured, picked out colors & 2 months later I received it.

I should have explained what the problems were I guess. Mobility is severely restricted in the left leg. I did a measurement and one leg is tighter/shorter than the other. So yeah, I would say that's his fault.
