DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST TIME

I remember my first time throwing my leg over a bike, it was a really tall dirt bike. I had to have a milk crate on both sides just to get on. We were all riding around a smallhomemade track at my brother in laws house. we were supposed to be following the trails but my nephew took a short cut straight across my path, he was about 4 or 5 at the time on a little 50. My only option was to hit the kid or jump a huge burn pile. I opted for the burn pile and missed the kid by mere inches and landed head first into a barbed wire fence. ouch.

AHHH T....Wrong subject....j/k

I remember mine vividly. Purchased the bike, called my homie up to ride it home cause I had never ridden 1 b4. He in the front and my boyfriend taking up the rear, letting me just roll outta 1st with no gas, over and over until I could get outta 1st with out stalling.

We stopped and were gonna actually go thru the rest the next day, but he never came back, so I just pulled it out of the garage and decided to jump on the street and go for it, didn't think once I got out of first it would be that hard. Stalled AT EVERY STOP, and shifted at all the wrong times, but did it.

yup. six months ago i bought my bike having never ridden one before. the guy at the dealership showed me the controls, how to check the fluids, told me the shift pattern, and off i went. felt natural, as cheesy as that sounds. never stalled once. it was about three or four days before i actually hit the highway, and another four months before i finally took the MSF and got my license.

btw, i do NOT condone this kind of behavior, but i had nobody to show me how to ride.

my first real bike,

I swore I would never get on one. My cousin bought an old Honda VFR 750, it literaly weighed 700 and something pounds. To me that was heavy, well I did not want to hurt myself or the bike so I rode it in the grass, VERY big yard so had plenty of room. I made a loop around, then went for another alittle faster, panicked when I saw the fence coming and locked up the front wheel and laid it down.

bought a ninja 250R shortly after that and started learning how to ride.

Never been on any kind of bike before in my life. Never wanted one ever. My friend that I used to work with had a 2000 cbr 929, for sale. I told him "Im gonna buy your bike" so I did. He rode it to my house, I jumped on, stalled a few times, then rode around in first gear. Once I got onto the streets, it was like no other feeling. Ill never forget it. Def fell in love.

I was a passenger for 6 - 9 months before i decided to try my hand at riding. I was scared at first, and wouldn't take it over 7 mph or out of 1st gear for the 1st week. After that I said eff it, and just did it. Rode for about 6 months before taking the MSF and now - here i am.

When we were young teenagers, the guys all had Yamaha DTs and mopeds. At some point in time, I got one of the mopeds, got a crash course and first time, only rode it for maybe 50 feet on my street. Stopped, turned around and was exhausted. :laughing6

my 1st time was in 6th grade . She was a beauty. I rode her like a man possesed! I remember the smell, the taste, the sounds she made as I pushed her harder!! Then in an instant, she was gone.. Snatched away by my mom & dad. My yellow and black yz80- I will remember you 4ever..

rode that bike for 4 months till parents found out I owned a bike. paid for her myself from working summer jobs and helping auntie with cleaning business. Kept her at best friends house(who happened to be previous owner)
I sold that bike and got an rm250..Another amazing bike..And another story altogether...lol
