video of cop completely out of line

He needs to express probable cause. Otherwise he can go play hard elsewhere. The excuse of "well I just want to make sure" isn't probable cause. If it was he would say he had it.

It amazes me how many of you guys either don't know your rights and the laws protecting them. And how willing you are to let some with a badge on your freedoms. Not sure if you are ignorant or just .

You Billy Badasses that say "No warrant, no search" do realize that by law you don't have to present your I.D. upon request when you're pulled over, don't you? Nor do you have to sign a ticket.

Yet you do it anyway to avoid conflict. This situation is no different. Say what you want but when dealing with the law, you usually get what you deserve.

Incorrect! You have to show a license to operate a motor vehicle. You don't have to show id any other time. The signing is correct. It's not required.

How many tickets have you refused to sign?

If I get a ticket it's usually well deserved.

He could have easily said:
"Respectfully sir, if you have probable cause, then yes, I would prefer you obtain a search warrant if you want me to open up my vehicle, as I'm choosing to exercise my fourth amendment rights."

The kid responded how I'd expect a kid to respond, however. Unfortunately, the cop responded like a kid as well.
