Of course drinking to the point of being drunk and drive is not right.

I don't even notice one beer. I don't notice 2. If I drink 3 quickly on an empty stomach I can start to notice something. The limit is the limit. I don't have serious issues with the limit. I have issues with the way it's enforced these days.

I know that. But the limit is ridiculous and it is base on false stats...1 beer wont do squat to the majority of ppl..if a few gets drunk with one. Not my bussiness

Some people ARE AFFECTED. If I say I'm gonna have some beers say at the house or a buddys house I'm meaning at least 12. If I'm headed to the river say out in a boat, that's 18-24. Most people choose a 6 pack to fill that need. Not saying people we or I would hang with, but I do think most consider a 6 pack enough to get through the event. There is a reason I have a keg on tap at the house. Lol

A 90 lbs woman has about .05 BAC after one drink or 12 oz. of beer. You must be a petite young lady

Of course I had a point... Duh.

Trolls don't have to anon. Whatch u talking about? I would ride with others more but... that getting up at the crack of dawn . KSU @ 07:15? Yeah... Not gonna happen.

And "go kick his " is different than the "putting up fierce resistance" which is what I would end up doing if I just happen to be in that situation. But, whatever. Short time here on the board and know Better than continuing on with this you, Bevo.

Depends on how early early is. If KSU is 10:00-12:00 yeah, that's not a problem. I prefer to sleep in on my time off (of course since I'm posting this at 05:46 Tis a work day). A lot of the rides I've clicked on are starting before 9am so, I don't bother.

"Mandatory Riders Meeting: 8:30 AM" so obviously KSU was after 7:15 numerous times for these rides alone.

You're welcome (link)

It's hard to ride all day when you spend half of it with the sheets in your

You're not doing any serious riding in June, July or August starting at noon if you can't even roll out of bed. Who you kidding?

You'll have plenty of time to lay down when you're dead

Too early. And as I said (that you failed to quote on purpose), if it was 10am or later, no prob.

Meh. Whatever makes you feel better, yo. I'll ride when I want, for how long I want, and how I want. That being said I rode during those summer months usually from 10:00 to 15-18:00 depending... Alas, giving a if you think I'm doing 'serious' riding or not is impossible... True enough that I'll have plenty of time when I'm dead, but I'm still not rolling out of bed that early if I don't have to.

I'm in the preliminary stages on a prototype key locker that requires a swipe of a driver's license or credit card, and a passing score on a breathalyzer in order to release the lock and retrieve the key. The device would be used in bars or restaurants where in order to purchase alcohol the patrons would surrender their keys which would be locked in the device with the combination being the magnetic code from the patrons driver's license or credit card and blowing below the legal limit on a portable breathalyzer.

Unlike the current systems which all seek to penalize drunk drivers after the fact, I'm looking for a cheap way to protect the drivers (and the public) before the fact. Yes it wouldn't be fool proof being that fools are so persistent and creative but I think it could prevent a good number of incidents if it were widely excepted.

Would any you guys be willing to submit to such a program? The device is small enough to keep with you at your table or kept at the bar. You would just plug it in to the breathalyzer, swipe, blow and go. A similar device is mounted in the cars of DWI convicts but, I’d like something that can be in place before they’ve killed some family and risked all our lives. The one in cars is currently more a money making scheme for the court than anything else. I’m more interested in prevention than penalization.
Thoughts? If a bar or restaurant asked you to lock down you keys in exchange for selling you alcohol would you do it or would you go somewhere else? Comments?
