Need a Custom Trailer Hitch made

So I traded in my old Explorer for a new, 2015 VW GTI. When I was looking at new cars, I wanted one that I could mount some sort of hitch to, to tow my bike trailer (5x8 utility trailer). I searched through some VW forums, and found a hitch from etrailer.com that I read should fit, but as it turns out, GTI owners have been ordering these hitches (either the DrawTite or the Curt), and have been having issues with the fit on the 2015 models. I'm really wanting to tow the bike to GSS here in a couple of weeks, and it looks like it'll be next Spring, at least, before these companies come out with new models. After hours browsing the VW forums, it seems my only options at this point, are:

1. Order a European hitch (Westfalia), pay big $$$ (like $500 plus shipping), and wait 3 weeks for it to come from Europe.
2. Order the DrawTite of Curt hitch and have a shop modify the brackets to fit
3. Have a shop fab up one from scratch

I'm leaning towards options 2 or 3 at this point. Anybody know a local shop that could do such as this? And surely it can't be as expensive as the European option? As always, I live in Galveston, so the more Southerly the shop, the better.

Can u post a link to the westfalia hitch. I'll tell you if a custom one is doable under $500 or if option 2 is best.

Here's the link. It's a "special order" item from Europe. It's 380 for the hitch, $130 for the valance, plus shipping.
