search on the gixxer forums, there should be threads about disconnect a wire to the ecu to turn off the FI light. There should be instruction comes with the pipe too.

ya the instructions were terrible...didnt feel like cutting a wire from the ecu based on them. I'll just have the dealer do it unless they are gonna charge alot...they treated me right on the sale and comped the first service among other stuff so i cant imagine they'll stiff me now.

There should of been 2 wires coming from the exhaust part that you removed. Takes those all the way off the bike.
