That would be pretty sweet, plus it would give some of use a real advantage..

Is fast line now going to have a ccw track day in early February/jan?

it looks like walter listened to the various concerns raised regarding racing ccw at msrh and is switching the schedule back to cw.

I've ridden ccw with fastline on numerous occasions and it is pretty fun, but not sure I want to do it with a pack of rabid racers exiting sugar and spice onto the pit straight. racers will be racers and someone is bound to get caught up by the wall there.

there are also issues with run off/pit-in heading into sugar and spice going ccw, as well as the possibility of someone arrowing off the front straight and into riders exiting the diamonds edge. pit out is pretty vulnerable this direction, as well, from bikes crashing in joe bone trying to enter the carousel. mostly these issues can be mitigated for TDs, but it's hard to imagine improving the safety of these areas when racing...

cw is better, although for the bigger bikes/faster riders the pit wall is still too close for comfort (, pete shaddock tangled with a lap rider and ended up in the wall during a LW endurance race on a ninja 250(!) back in february - it doesn't take much for carnage to happen there). personally, I wish there was a way to convince the track to move the pit straight over 45-60 feet for safety, but that would take funding which is going to be a problem since it is a change that primarily benefits the mc community (which are essentially guests at that car-centric facility).

I'm primarily a lw racer, so I'd probably race either direction at msrh, but I definitely prefer keeping it cw...

I didn't see where he said he switched it. Also I prefer cw because I'm faster that way.

you're right - I don't see that he's actually come out and said that in so many words, but he did make the comment "CW sounds like the way to go to me. Hummmm??" at the bottom of post #82 last night.

a lot of folks have implied from that (and his other comments in the thread) that CCW is probably off the table now, though.

Either way they run it, i'm down. If you feel its "unsafe", don't race. It's pretty simple.

It will work out great if no one signs up to race, then maybe Walter would get the message.

I'm still 50/50. I want to race there to get a decent grid position for the last ever TWS (Texas World Speedway) round. But if it's CCW, I'm definitely going to have to think hard about it. If it were any other round, I would not race it.

That's going to suck, because that means the only track I would be able to race is Cresson after TWS (Texas World Speedway) shuts down. Or maybe NOLA/Hallet, but that'd probably be the only race weekend I could afford. I'm not a baller like you guys...lmao.

Likewise, The track was designed to be very technical and test a racers abilities and that's why it's harder CCW. It was designed CCW. Before the F'ing wall was there.

Some corners are more fun CCW though, like T4 to T5. And T2.
The bus stop is only a bus stop CW. Gut check too. And Gut check sucks CCW but T14 is bad CW.

I would be lying if I said I didnt like the carousel CCW. It feels like it last forever! (Yet, that may just because im going slow )
