98 gsxr 600

hi..i need help my 98 gsxr 600 battery wont stay charge for nothing i even put a new one on still not charging when i try to start it. whats the first thing to look for thanks for the help.

Did it start with the new battery? It should have started with a new battery and then if you are having charging issues it would drain and not start after a ride. Then if that is the case then start by looking at the rectifier and then if not it then check the stator.

stator rarely goes out, rectifier, I have one for an 04, if it fits you can have it.
