I think the number of cops that are good ones are a minority. The reason for this is that there is always a demand for cops and they don't exactly pay reasonably (in my opinion) to draw in the best candidates. It can be a thankless job and I respect those who care enough to do it well, but this goes to prove my position that this is nothing but a precursor of what is yet to come. In some cases, chasing increases the level of danger rather than minimizing it.

those fks like that get off on speed just like we do. the only difference is they look better (in peers & coworkers eyes) and get to get away with all sorts of illegal stuff. makes we wanna be a cop just so i don't get in trouble for the same things i allready do that they're "trained" to do. i know there are a few cool ones out there but it's a good thing they had ol boy cuffed.

Yeah, I have to agree that the cops were being dicks but as far as pushing the bike over?
No. The apprehension of the perp was dangerously close to a fast moving lane of freeway traffic and the bike was right on top of the arrest forcing the cops to be exposed to the possibility of being struck. We have all seen that happen before too.
Sux him being active duty. He is indeed fawked. Like some one said- he shoulda ducked off the freeway-- noob.
Not that I condone that sort of behaviour:laughing6

Man that is just wrong, did you see how many lives the speeding cop endangered and how "courteous" he was to fellow cagers... They get their adrenaline going and they start turning into Judge Dread "I am the LAW"... F*ck that B.S. the guy pulled over and gave himself up, just do your job and put him in cuffs and impound his bike. I have had my car impounded before only to get it back without a stereo or cd's and a few other damages.

Then move the F*ing "PERP" don't be a douche and destroy his vehicle! He was compliant and in custody, obviously got off his bike on his own will because the stand was down.

i think it was rediculous to chase that guy for 5 minutes, those cops were going well over 100mph just to catch up to him, that was a danger to all other motorists. the runner should be punished but the cops should set up a road block instead of driving over 100 for right at 5 minutes to catch a speeder! i don't think that cop was chasing him, just joining the chase, because it sounded like they were getting his location on the radio and excited when he found out that the bike was nearby...

by the way, i used to take all those roads like that...it kinda made me miss home.

yeah, that is what sucks the most is that this ****tard is the one that pushed his bike over...
Start of chase: 14:40:57
End of chase: 14:45:58
that is a lengthy chase for a cop that one not involved and I don't think it takes 5 cops to take down one biker. The biker complied as he got off the bike on his own and then to be put to the pavement and yelled obscenities at? No cool on the cops part... I hope they burn in ... *Samuel L. Jackson voice....

Yeah from the looks of it, the guy on the bike more than likely didn't know they were chasing him. If he would had known and stopped, we would have seen him get rushed and tackled while sitting on the bike. It just goes to prove that these guys like everyone else that gets a rush from it and makes rash decisions. They are not immune. It makes bikers and cops look bad. So shame on them in both parts.
