Hey Andy. I just sent you a PM about practicing this weekend and then going for a ride. Sorry. Work has had me snowed under.

As far as getting the tags for the bike. You can do that at the court house office on Clay near Hwy 6. You'll need the title and insurance, so it sounds like you're covered. Head down Fry and then take a left. It's on Clay right before you get to highway six. It' right after the Bear Creek Library and on the right hand side of the road.

I am a noob too! I ride with a great group of people, including my boyfriend, and I had my first "group ride" two weekends ago. We all live out in Katy and we went down a road called 1463. I had two people in front of me and 3 behind. It was so much fun. We went slow and just enjoyed the ride. We rode for about 2 hours. I learned a lot that day. I went into a turn a little too fast and I ended up going over the line..... There were two cars coming and I knew I couldn't brake so I gave it some gas and leaned and made it back into my lane. The two cars that were coming saw me and they did move out of the way. It scared that out of me but I learned a good lesson. If you want to ride with us some time PM me.

Good man to learn from right there, scrapes his pegs hardcore at the track on his cruiser more than some on rockets!

To register the bike in your name, you will need the title transfer signed by the seller, the title and insurance. I had gone to Clay and Cypresswood, both had given me the same answer.

When I got the VFR, the seller had to get the title from his bank so all I had was the title transfer and the insurance which wasn't enough. What we did was have the seller write an affidavit that he 'moved' into my county and then we wrote another affidavit that he empowered me to pay for his registration. That way at least I got current tags.

Once I had his title in my hand, I took it all back to the office and reregistered it in my name.
