Well I feel like I just cheated death. Bike's decently hurt though.

Truck ran over a 4x4 and sent it into my lane today. Unsure if I had of reacted better and tried to avoid it if I would have come out without crashing. Who knows.

Any idea how to fix my oil pan or get a new one before monday? Only mode of transportation for the next week while my car is getting an aftermarket front bumper painted lol.

... yeah I work at the Port of Houston - City Dock and we load trucks all day long. Some have their boards secured ... some do not. Its actually a fine now for them to leave them loose and not chained down. Had a close call like that just riding inside the port one day .. truck did an abrupt stop in front of me and I went to go around to find about a 8 foot long 4x4 in the lane .. thank for emergency breaking and counter steering. Glad you were not hurt.

Maybe if you weren't busy laughing at the "squid" you would have seen the 4x4 sooner

I hit a 4x4 on 610. I couldn't avoid it. I puckered up and tried to take as much weight off the front as I could. No damage. I was lucky.
