I agree...I started on a 600 as well, but generally speaking....most people would do better on a smaller bike. Blipping the throttle too fast on a 500 would be WAY MORE FORGIVING that if you blipped the throttle on a 750. Just my 2 cents.

I just want to ride again... and I'd save a lot more money riding the 500 back and forth to work instead... It cost me 50 effin' dollars yesterday to fill up my tank from e... and that wont even last all weekend... Besides... a lot of people I know that are in pearland and already have bikes are wanting to ride, they've offered for me to ride ... and I appriciate the offer... but riding just isn't for me... you know?

I just want to ride... that's all... I guess you could say my mind is somewhat already made up... but still... ugh... That GSX-R... *sigh*

+1 That is the smart way to do it! Save money on gas and enjoy yourself while making an investment!

No... it wont be that bad at all... actually... I'd probably only give my dad about 50 bucks a month for the payment... then I'd say another 50 at the most for insurance... and 100 dollars is about how much i spend on gas every three weeks... I think I'm going with the 500... Thanks everyone!

This means I can ride with all of you fine people sooner! Yay!

I look forward to seeing you out there on a ninja! Go Kawi! I love my ninja, and if you want I'll let you try it out and see why I love Kawi 636cc bikes! You may just fall in love with 'em too.

Frag, take the 500... make the payment/ins on the stuff... then set your extra $ on the side for the gixxer. Get a rough estimate on trade-in value, then sell it and turn around and get the gix.. paid in full.

Gets you on 2 wheels sooner, keeps your riding skills from getting rusty, saves ya on gas $ etc.

I stared out on a 500 and moved up to the 636. I read before that you had an r6. Personally I don't think I could downgrade to the 500 but I will still ride my 500 like its no body's business. I would rather have a 250 or 500 than no bike.

Now see that's what I was thinking, but if the need to ride is greater, what can ya do?
