yep. Make sure you tested it by laying it down on the side, softly.

it is just a mercury switch.. do you have a volt meter? Take it off, hold it upright and test continuity (closed circuit or open circuit).. Tip it and test continuity again... Find out what is the closed circuit and on the plug going to it run a wire from pin to pin. That sensor is there to keep you from doing damage to your motor though, your going to kill your rings if you dump it too many times and oil floods one side of your engine and starves the other... Just try to dump it equally to each side.

once you bypass it you will know if it works or not just by turning on the key. either the fuel pump will come on or it wont

(he is taking the upper off so it wont have a sensor anymore)

therefor no need to lay the bike down. if the fuel pump comes on your good.

2.2.. but they will still have an ignition, he just needs to bypass the bank angle sensor.

This one is easier, there are only 2 wires, find them test them with the multimeter with kickstand down.. If the circuit is open , short or jumper them together and it will trick it into thinking the kickstand is up. Why would you want to be in 1st gear with your kickstand down though?
