Thanksgiving Road trip ideas?

I dont have the kids this year and I would rather punch myself in the for 5 days than spend it with my family, so I am thinking about taking a road trip on the bike. Any suggestions? I can leave Tuesday afternoon and dont need to be back till 5pm on Monday. I want to see some nice scenery.

I'd go to Big Bend NP and surrounding area. Hwy 170 is one of the best in the country

Highway 7 out of Arkadelphia to the North. By the time you get in northern Ark pretty much any road you turn off on will be better than anything within 200 miles of Houston.

While I like 170, for the jumps lol, it has way too much flat stuff around it. And I really like Big Bend especially around Turkey Day. The nights get cold as a though. It was 65 in the day and 20s at night.

I'm on a Road Star so I'm not too too concerned with twistys etc. I'm probably going to be going slow and easy.

What is the weather going to be like up there? I know I should always be mindful of ice and but is it a huge issue at that time of year?

Hill Country, less far, not as cold.
The Y.O. in Kerrville usually puts on a pretty good Thanksgiving lunch, I'd recommend making reservations if you plan on going.

Leakey texas. U can pay park fees at garner and camp, they have showers etc. Small tent, roll up your jacket as a pillow. As far as family goes, Lotta cell phone services do poorly up there....so limited contact for the win.
