They have those in Denver.

Average speed has also been proposed to monitor and enforce speed limits on the beltway.
They read your EZtag at any checkpoint and then monitor how long it takes to get to the next one. If the time is too quick, you must have been speeding and poof a ticket gets issued.

Of course the RLC fans will say, "You don't have to be a rocket scientist to just drive the speed limit. I drive 800 miles a day on the toll roads and I never got a ticket".

That's where we want to be. Sheep that always do what we're told.
Why?
Because we want to?
Because it's safer?
Because it's the "right" thing to do?

Nope.

Because the gubment doesn't give us a choice. They will be using technology to make SURE you conform to the rules. ALWAYS.
Is that what you want? To never be able to pick your moment and let it air out for a bit?
To never experience the thrill of straight up hauling again?

That's where this is headed. Cameras and monitors everywhere. Pretty soon we'll all be driving electric cars at 40 mph because they say it's better that way.
Rant over.

Take it to the track. If you don't like who's in charge, do something about it.

Unless you've never once exceeded a posted speed limit you have very little to preach about.

If I get busted for speeding it's nobody's fault but mine.

I'll take it to the track if I feel like it or not as I deem appropriate but thanks for your suggestion.

There is better technology now. Link the GPS that's already in most newer cars to an up link that already exists (like onstar).
The GPS knows the speed limit on the road you are driving, when you exceed it, an auto report can be made to the popo computer that issues you a ticket.
No fuss no muss.
what movie was that in, a guy on a sport bike opens it up and the computer tells him in his helmet he has been fined, and the money taken out of his accout....

LOL. Kinda like soliciting prostitution... not that I personally part-take in that uh... crime, but c'mon... guy has money and needs , and girl has and needs money. You can't tell me it is as bad as robbing a bank with a saw-off 12 ga.
