I agree for most people will be faster on a 500 than a 300.
Our 300 was the fastest bike at this weekends mini endurance race by nearly a second, including fast guys on 500's.

I thought I saw that a cbr500 won the endurance overall? Oh well good job that's pretty awesome.

a 500ss won the race, but unobtanium ran a best lap of 1:18 vs. howlie weenie's 1:20.

faltless racing did run a 1:18 on their ex500 in classic 500, though.

nexx racing managed a 1:20 on a ninja 250(!) during the race, too...

these guys pull 70+ HP out of ex500 motors:

All racing class stuff aside, a well setup ex500 is going to trash a 250/300. JMHO

true, but in a 2 hour endurance race, being forced to stop for fuel to feed that 70HP beast is going to be a liability, and that is where the smaller, more fuel efficient bikes make up a lot of ground...

team 19 ran a mostly stock ex500 and managed a 1:21 best. they are running a junk-yard special, though (no real motor work, stock shock off another kind of bike, etc.).
