I feel your pain!

I still hate to see it because you know that was someones son / daughter, mother / father, husband / wife, etc.... and the people greiving because of the loss. Many people never get word about safe riding practices and facilities for those of us who want to push the envelope and live life on the edge. For those who have the knowledge, that is their choice and they will have to live and die with those decisions. I personally have had many friends with different severities of injuries and plenty who took their last breath behind the bars of a bike. This is a dangerous game of thrills but we all except that when we kick the leg over the seat. What I really wish is for people to come to an understanding about their own riding preferences and where they should be riding at.

... and any time I hear some BS out of someones mouth about I don't have the cash for gear or track time really me off... if you can't figure out that people are ready to help out anyone with any budget get proper gear and facilities to ride at then sell your bike and save all of us the hassle of dealing with another lost rider to stupidity.

What about the people who pay for others mistakes? In the past 2 weeks or so, 5+ people have pulled into my lane when I was doing the speed limit. I honked a few times and once I almost had to swerve onto the shoulder to dodge a truck. And when I honk at the drivers they look at me like I did something wrong.

Maybe I'm soft but I will feel sorry for a rider down, no matter who is at fault. I know many of you have learned from your mistakes but if you had paid with your life you can be sure I would feel the same way about you. I just cant help but feel symptahy for someone injured, killed, and the family wrapped up in the situation. The past few days I have seen lots of "squids" riding w/o gear and I laugh sometimes at their arrogance, but if they went down I would feel really bad. As a community I think we should try everything we can to help other riders stay alive.

umm sounds about rite and ya education is 1 thing, ive talkd to a few people ive seen with no gear on and thier excuse was "cost to much" and thats really not a reasn to not wear somethin to protect urself, its ur life ur gamblin with and i dont think most of them care... when they fk up and do wrong its everyone else who will suffer. when they wreck and die or get greatly hurt its the parents, frnds n family that r gunna have to pay either emotioinaly or with money and so on, if ur can afford a bike then u should be able to aford a helmet and jacket at leaste that much can keep u some wat safe. cycle gear does the credit thing, if they didnt go out to eat or buy beer or spend money on stupid they didnt need for a month im sure they would have saved enough money to get what they need no gear no bike thats how it should be

I dont feel bad when i hear someone wrecks from their own stupidity, but it does hurt to hear about someone losing a life acting a fool or not. Its never good to hear about a loss of a loved one or just someone minding their own and gets taken out by a cager.

The ones who are wreckless and get hurt or die just gives society another reason it disregard our community of riders. No matter how many of 100's of us will do the right thing on the roads/streets/country roads/etc. Its the one fool who will give a us all a bad perspective.

I just hope it never gets to the point where we are all banned from everything. That would just suck

Soon I will begin making the transition from street to track. Will I be 100% track? Doubtful, cant say yet. I am going to need lots of help when I do decide to switch though, I have no shame in saying it.

Or just keep giving him . :laughing6

I remember a friend of mine, who (you KNOW who you are) started on a 250 like me but was very impatient. He got an R6 shortly after and immediately started asking questions about mods for the R6. It was obvious peer pressure got to him. He didn't want to be 'left behind' and blah blah so on and so on.

Everyone kept giving him and kept telling him to get gear before doing the mods. Needless to say, he did the mods but it must've sunk it eventually, because he got his version of gear (knee pads over jeans) and other stuff.

He know rides in full gear and has become a very good and safe rider.

Never give up, keep giving them . You wouldn't be a friend if you didn't. :icon_bigg
