Those were painted recently I think and they don't reflect all that well from a bike headlight ... I have almost hit them both staying on the feeder

I still don't see the issue and by the looks of Google Pics, I don't see any indication that people are plowing over the median in droves. No tire marks and no scrapes from metal contact with the curb/median.

From what I've read, the complaints about that median are at night time/ in the dark. I could see it being hit, especially if you're at the last minute trying to get over. I'm not sure if that median is in the best spot or how bad it is at night, since i do not have experience going there at night

But this exact same setup is all over town. It isn't just this particular entrance. You can go all over town and see the same thing. In fact there are some far worse driving conditions out there than this. Night or day...

They recently painted them and like Rowdy mentioned they're not that great still. Google doesn't have updated pictures of it....

Motorcycle wreck :(

Does anybody know what county/city this is in? Could be as simple as writing a letter to the facilities department.

Maybe even the addition of those plastic poles leading up to the curb.

Louetta Rd. & Canterbury Forrest Dr.

I crashed one night out on Louetta Road, just West of Jones road. There had been 3 Westbound lanes since turning off of 249. I was in the left lane, and could see a car ahead of me in the left lane also, so I figured I had about 100 yards before reaching that car, so I was trying to see the address numbers on some buildings in order to find my destination. Suddenly the bike went out from under me, and I was rolling around in the grass in the median.

The median had jutted out into the left lane - for no good reason - reducing the 3 lanes down to 2. I had run over the curb, which tripped the bike, laying it on its side. The curb was literally beat to where others had run over it as well. I still believe that this is a clear cut case of a dangerously designed median. It shrinks 3 lanes down to 2; then expands back to 3 lanes again.

It is at Louetta Road and Canterbury Forrest Dr. I have never seen another street design like this - thank goodness.

The male rider is his grandfather and has since been discharged from the hospital. His mom has been upgraded to stable condition.
