FERV at MSRH LVL 3 10/18/14

Front video didn't take so use your imagination . The wreck video was screwed as well, went down after this lap on the "launch", was way to hot and when I hit the hill the back tire came off the ground... Did that on the back straight earlier but that was flat ground. Anyway that freaked me out on the hill so I just drove off in the grass an had to bell when I hit the tall grass and the back fell out from under me. Just a few bruises and a broken fairing stay.

I couldn't agree with you more. Thanks for saying it. I've had a chance to think about things and yes I will push myself but I need to take my time and take much smaller steps. When I was younger I didn't see what I needed to change. I had to increase at a moderate rate. Now being a bit older and wiser I see what needs to be done and I go directly to what I think I should do without inching up to it. I think some of it is I realize at this age that fear just a perception. Remove fear from the equation and you can do amazing things. I've removed the fear, but sometimes it's a good idea to keep a bit of it so the rubber stays down.

yeah that'll be sick, i know of the couple bikes you were looking at and they are sick bikes. but take in consideration the R6 as well, you can go just as fast as a 1000 around the track (some people go faster on a 600 than a 1000) . I know the position you are in sorta because I started with a larger bike as well (cbr as well) and I found a r6 for a good price, and im very glad i went to the 600 class for many reasons. just dont take the 600's out of consideration when looking at a track bike, wouldnt steer you wrong.

You were awesome flying by on the 6 with the big bikes trying to keep up with you. I think that's a good plan. I followed your advice and spent a couple of hrs Sunday with Allen, we were the last ones to leave the track Sunday, lots of good info. I'm looking at 600 or 750, going to look at a full race ready gixxer 750 tomorrow, will most likely sale my CBR. Just watched "Faster" on Netflix... can't wait to watch "Fastest", great documentaries about Motogp.

haha thanks man, and yeah Allan/Whoopie knows his stuff and knows how to get around the track fast consistently, he's also got a lot of knowledge that he is willing to share. shoot me a link of the gsxr you're looking at on facebook, if its local I may know the owner. Good luck

I had no idea that movie existed, thanks for the tip! I have amazon Prime and turns out it's free on there. Just finished watching it and never imagined how often these guys crash yet they keep going broken bones and everything. Truly inspirational to watch even if you don't ride.

Thanks again
