Making exhaust LOUD!!

I have a r6 with the stock headers, cat, and a yoshi slip on. I want to make the exhaust LOUD as fawwk, but I don't have the money to blow on a full set up.

I've heard cut the cat off and straight pipe it from the headers? Whats the best route to take?

Take the muffler off.

It's going to be loud. Your neighbors wont like you.

If all you want is LOUD as fawwk. . .cut the cat off and strait pipe it. Don't listen to the people that will tell you that performance will suffer, it'll be obnoxious, your neighbors will hate you, etc. Do exactly as you stated, post video clips to youtube, and bask in the internet glory that can only come from making such a well thought out decision. I can hear it now, it's going to sound sooooo good!!!

^^ that's funny

Seriously, just save up and buy a full exhaust for it.

Or do as stated above and accept that you will be ridiculed relentlessly, and by the time you pay all the tickets you might get, you could just have bought a full exhaust in the first place.

There is a difference between sound and noise. Let me illustrate...

A V8 with a proper exhaust system sounds good.
A chainsaw makes noise.

A P51 Mustang sounds good.
A gas powered weed eater makes noise.

A 600 sport bike with a full exhaust system makes noise.
A 600 sport bike with no muffler is retarded.

Of course it won't sound like your typical SS race exhaust. . .it's going to sound like a MotoGP bike!

if you drill a bunch of 1/4" holes in the header it'll sound like an RSV4 with a full exhaust, give it a shot and tell me i'm wrong

The guys asking a legitimate question here fellas. Give him a break. He just want his bike to sound LOUD as fawwk.
blk02out, don't mind them, they hatin cause they are gonna wish their bike will sound as LOUD as yours. Don't straight pipe anything nor drill holes in your header. That's ridiculous. All you have to do is remove your header, cat. and muffler. It will sound wicked....trust me people will turn around on the freeway looking for drag bike!

+1 on no header. Be sure to wear a bathing suit, flip flops, no shirt with icon field armor and a flat billed monster cap.

haha so much for making a post to get help...

i think the best way would be to remove the exhaust completely and set up a can exhaust.. i'll attach a beer can on the swing arm and let to spokes do the work for me. worked on my bicycle when i was 6, should still work now right?

Apparently just as hard as putting a mounting strap on your slip-on. Both seem to require starting a thread so you can be ridiculed.

To be fair, I've had my share of straight-piped bikes. I'm glad I know better now.
