Terrible wreck

last night on the way home we were confronted with a bad wreck you may have heard about it on the news. We were at a stand still about a mile from the entrance to our subdivision. I called home to see if my son-in-law had made it home and he had not. I got out of the truck and began to walk in the direction of the accident. Looking at every vehicle hoping to recognize my son-in-laws Buick. My heart was poundin as I got past all the traffic to see the accident. There were about 8 people in the van alot of them children that were all ejected from their vehicle. There was people laying everywhere. There was probably 50 emergency vehicles including four life flight units. I got where I could see all cars involved and thank Richie was not involved. I continued walking and called my daughter and she came and picked me up. Tim, still stuck in traffic because they closed the road, got home about 9:00. My prayer go out to the families but mostly for the children that were obviously injured and shaken up.

???

What was the cause? I'm guessing excessive speed, no blinker, and cell phone usage. This "multi-tasking" is noticeable to me now more than ever since I moved to Houston from Minneapolis.:eh:

it is still under investigation for the cause, but the suv rearended the van full of people, forcing them into on coming traffic where they collided with and extended cab full size pickup.
