rider goes down hard in santa fe

maybe solracer knows this guy,but had a guy come thru the e.r. on monday hauling as in santa fe around a curve when a tractor with a brush hog pulled out on him.well he hit the tractor so hard that it cracked the back rim of the tractor in two pieces!!!the bike got chewed on by the brush hog. injuries were:mangled leg, crushed arm, broken clavicle which caused a hemo pneumothorax(a punctured lung with blood).needless to say he lost his leg and the arm is questionable.he had some other internal injuries as well.i was off from the e.r. on monday so i didn't see the guy,i was working my pt job on the ambulance when i heard the call from another dept. be safe guys.just because the bike can go over 100,don't mean you have to do it.if you were in car or POS anything on 4 wheels would you go that fast??? i hope not.

Hope he recovers alright! Bush hogs are nasty, and they have a habit of totally destroying anything that those two slinging blades come near. He's lucky he didn't get pulled in with the bike.

I think this is the same guy.

"Dustin Harvey is a 21-year old Santa Fe, TX motorcycle rider. Dustin was injured in a motorcycle accident on Cemetery Road Monday night, 5-21-07. Dustin lost one leg below the knee, he may lose an arm and he is bleeding internally. He has already been administered 20+ units of blood since the accident yesterday. He is in dire need of blood."

, he bought it hard on that one.

Cemetary Road where this happened is a 45 mph speed limit rural area with lots of driveways and only two gentle curves in a three mile stretch of road.

I ride it all the time on my bicycle and it's NOT the place for any speed.

Yeah, not a good road to be flying on. Best wishes for him and his family!

The Blood Bank will be out at the Main Branch of the JSC Credit Union on Tuesday the 29th from 10:30am to 3:30pm looking for donations to help Dustin. The Main Branch is located at the corner of Saturn and Hercules in Clear Lake City. The family would be grateful for any donation to the blood bank in Dustin's name.

Prayers sent. Can a donation at any blood bank be given in his name?? Not to sound cold but the downtown location is a lot closer than JSC is.
