Kawasaki Ninja H2 rider aids revealed
Roadgoing model gets KQS ESD KEBC and lots of other acronyms
KAWASAKI has revealed the electronics package fitted to the Ninja H2 by giving us a glimpse of its dash in their latest teaser video.
Made up of an analogue tacho and digital display, the H2’s dash shows us the street-legal bike will come fitted with traction control, a quickshifter, launch control, ABS brakes, an electronic steering damper and engine brake control, as found on the Ducati Panigale to prevent rear wheel lock-ups during aggressive downshifts.
A small umbrella indicates a ‘Rain’ mode setting, which will presumably cut power from the 998cc supercharged lump and increase the level of intervention from the traction control and ABS system.
There’s also a gear indicator and ‘BOOST’ gauge - we hope the latter represents some sort of electronic boost control to hike power at the switch of a button, although it’s likely there to just monitor that excessive pressure is not being generated.
Electronic aids aside, perhaps what’s most impressive about this 17th teaser video is the number of times the firm’s video team managed to misspell Kawasaki, or should I say Kawsaki?
