because it's ugly as sin....I BET if you change that scheme, remove all your old posts, don't list all the aftermarket stuff you think makes it valuable and post it solely on CL for $3,300...it will get scooped up. Word of wisdom...do not post another for sale ad on MH after this 5 pg. "I got a question" thread.

You need to compare your bike to 03-04 bikes because that's all it is. It is not and cannot be compared to an 2008 R6. Listing a bunch of ads for R6's doesn't mean anything.

Also as was brought up before list price does not equal sale price. The fact that it isn't sold means it is not worth $3500.

And you found an 03 marked as an R6 that's an R6s and has been down a few times looking at the scratched tank and pile of busted plastics where nothing matches. A new nose ( wonder why) a semirepaired black front fender (wonder why. Would there now be a problem with those forks?) Has the same stock forks and stock brakes as mine. I would actually say that bike (with really nice upgrades) has had the living beat out of it.

Everyone just wants to hurt my feelings and make me cry. Yer just a bunch of meanos. I hope you all die and go rot in and with all the mother stabbers and father rapers.

Ya gotta watch how things are read or said when using text. I know it sounds a lot like I'm defending this bike (of course to a degree I am) but I've gotten the most information from this. The point was to get serious race heads opinions and at that, I succeded, hard as it is to swallow. I had no idea what direction to head with this. So- My feelings are not hurt and The reason I asked the question on this site is because there simply is no place else to ask it without getting purely criticized for being a dishonest liar.

I have a list of at least 10 things to do that I had no idea about before. So - Here they are:

1) poison Ark Dave
2) poison Bevo
3) Steal r6racers tires
4) cry and get it out of my system
5) Put ebola on Bducs grips
6) Give Texlurch $500,000
7) ...

............... wait wait - - that's my "other list" Sorry - wrong list. You weren't supposed to know about that list......

Nah - I'm going to get a few parts and new paint on "to date" fairings. Word the next ad differently.
I have no choice because in my mind it is still worth well more than $2000.
But I do want to absolutely be sure that everyone that contributed to this post is a good friend, riding advocate, and has a voice and opinion that means something.

It's just that I can't believe how so many of you are haters.....

I'd list it at $3000 but when someone offers $2500 Id sell it.

Why would you dump more money into painting and add cost to a bike you're not going to get what you're looking for in the first place? Just list your rock bottom price and wait for it to sell.

For comparison, here is my R6 (non-S) 2007 in "Proper Gulf Livery" colors, LOL. With a Cambora built supersport motor (~117 HP vs the R6S' 102), everything to run 1:47's at TWS (Texas World Speedway), 1:38 at MSRH, full suspension, tuner, 2 sets of rims, clear title (actually original MSO...never been titled), spares, etc... I'm hoping to get $4500 out of it. It is in fact an R6 from 2006+, with the ugly bodywork, not the 2003+ R6"S".

It has actually been in a Houston Dynamo video shoot:

Oh , I violated the rules. It belongs to my 18 year old son cause it was a birthday gift so I can't sell it on MH. And it has 4,200 miles.

But I can put a fog light on the front and a boat trailer light on the rear and get it inspected and ride it to and from the track.

In all seriousness, my good friend John had a nice 2004 R6S with full everything, inverted!!! 2008 R6 forks, new paint, track ready, clean, fast, ran 1:40's at MSRH at one time. Had a long tiring effort selling it on MH for around $3,000 IIRC. This should be the baseline for what you should expect for yours.

But I truly feel your pain. I invested $5000 in YSR50's when I first started racing. I think I got out of it with $1200 for everything I invested.

I got good info out of the tread. Constructive criticism and comments. Then I thanked everyone. Although no one likes criticism even when it 's good, I got the idea.

But you just jump in for insults. No one else was insulting.
You don't have to say but for some reason you think you need to post.
Must be a bummer having an IQ that matches the number of inches on a yard stick.

I have all the painting and other equipment I need. Basically, it's free. For a week of doing something I like I can get a profit from it by being satisfied with a good job and a little extra cash. I've been custom painting bikes for about 7 years. Won some awards and I always get a kick out of seeing one of my jobs at TLSR.

Like I mentioned earlier, I wanted to sell it sooner, because I'm off to Hawaii to ride with No Xcuses for a week and I wanted to blow some cash.

So I'm guessing this isn't one of the bikes you painted then.
