So why won't this bike sell? I want YOUR HONEST cut!

Most of you that have ever looked at the bikes for sale here have seen this bike. I'm not trying to sell it on this post.

I'm wondering WHY it won't sell.

Compared to what I've seen here, CL, EBay - - - This bike should easily go for over $4500. I can't even sell it for $3500. There is NOTHING wrong with it.
I'm of the opinion it's the fairings and the paint scheme. Maybe they're fugly. I want to know why there is absolutley NO interest in it. It really is a very very good bike. If you ride it to the track, it's ready in less than 5 minutes. Pop the lights and plate bracket kit back on and ride it home.

I just don't ride it. I have enough bikes already.
so here's the rundown. Give me honest .

It's an 08 with 05 fairings. It hasen't been wrecked or rebuilt or anything weire. It runs excellent and the inspection is good.
It has:
Perelli Diablo Race Tires at +90%
GPR Stabalizer
GP Shifting
LOR (Level One Racing) Muffler. Very deep and loud sound!!!!
CTR Inverted Front Fork Suspension
Penske Rear Suspension (set for 190# rider)
NRC Stator and Clutch cover
Hot Bodies Farings With Frame Sliders attached to the Frame!
Vortex Sprockets
Vortex Fuel Cap
DID Chainelli Diablo Race Tires
GPR Adjustable Stabalizer
GP Shifting
LOR (Level One Racing) Muffler. Very deep and loud sound!!!!
CTR Inverted Front Fork Suspension
Penske Rear Suspension (set for 190# rider)
NRC Stator and Clutch cover
Hot Bodies Farings With Frame Sliders attached to the Frame!
Vortex Racing Sprocket
Vortex Fuel Cap
DID Chain

so...................... why come fer she nobody wants it fer da ridin???
What is WRONG with it?

I'd say track bikes are a smaller market of (of course), the average consumer is gonna quickly look at the picture and decide yay or nay. Paint was the first thing that made me cringe, no offense.

Paint that ish a solid color and it'd sell faster. In my opinion

Two things would stop me from buying that bike if I was in the market.

1. Paint. It looks like it's really well-done, but I prefer the OEM schemes.
2. You say "CTR Inverted Front Fork Suspension" and the picture shows standard forks. It would make me wonder what else about the bike isn't how you say it is.

For $3500 I dont know why its not selling. Ive looked at it and thought it was a great deal. If i was in the market for a bike seems the pricepoint would be great.

Paints not attractive to put it mild.
Mileage not mentioned.
Title not mentioned.
Probably a race bike with the case covers so its been abused.
Crashed hard enough to replace plastics.
Replacing with older plastics is ugly and mickey mouse.
Not quality full system pipe.
No Quick shift or Fueling.
No rear sets.
No Aks up front to match Penske.
Does not list model. Is it an SV650? Can't get much for an sv.

The ad is important should mention everything correctly.

Don't be mild. Be honest. I can live with honesty.
Mileage not mentioned. A bit over 7K.
Title not mentioned. It is in the "real ad".
Probably a race bike with the case covers so its been abused.
Nope. Well maintained.
Crashed hard enough to replace plastics.
Nope - I just hate the newer ones.
Replacing with older plastics is ugly and mickey mouse.
I can agree because the older ones are my opinion.
Not quality full system pipe.
Not quality? It's surely as good as any other stock bike.
No Quick shift or Fueling.
Stock bikes don't either.
No rear sets.
Stock - so what?
No Aks up front to match Penske.
Still better than stock. Set for 190#
Does not list model. Is it an SV650? Can't get much for an sv.
Again - real ad does say its an 2008 R6

The ad is important should mention everything correctly.
So I agree with the assessment if you're looking for a killer track bike, but like I said, there are just Joe less-than-average bikes on CL and EBay that have been dropped (at slow speed -right) or need a little TLC that are going for $5000.
Looks like the #1 thing the the fugly color.

JIts not a 2008 r6 simple, you listed that bike as a 2008 r6.

Its not, the 2008 r6 is a far more superioer bike than the 2008 r6s. Maybe it did good for you on the track but I wouldn't want to ride that bike on the track if I want to go fast, id rather get a 250. I dont know why the someone made that thing a track bike, its not meant to be a trackbike. The 2008 r6 on the other hand IMO the best 600 available.

The bike you have is good for level 1 and level 2 track days, and slower level 3 guys.

I have to assume you dated my ex-wife for a while. There's only one way to know ugly to the level of hideous - and that's to see her!

I actually really like the paint. If I was looking for a cheap bike to get into some track racing, I'd be all over it. I'm sure the paint is the most off-putting thing to other people, though. It is definitely "hate it or love it" and most seem to hate it.

Paint job, you can repaint those bikes in no time. Maybe its not attractive but honestly I could care less about a "paint job" lmao look at my bike its 4 different colors.

Your bike I wouldnt buy for 3500.

2000-2500 is the MOST I think you could get. I sold a 2005 r6 for 2600 vortex covers rear sets ohlins rear pc3 clip ons track bodywork and its a better overall track bike

Agreed - the r6r has a better swingarm config for sure, but I'm also not advertising it as a track bike. I wouldn't suggest "you" ride it on the track because you ARE too advanced for it. But come on, don't you agree that other than the paint it's worth more than a buck 2.80 and a quarter? And yeah, for even a level 1 rider, it's surely worth more than nothing.....

I'm going to change the paint for sure . . . .

Yes - R6S It's still an R6. The question is - compared to all the other R6 or R6 "S" that are listed and the condition they are in- I just can see this bike being worth less than $3500. Yeah, even for an S.
