AMA Battle for Leader - Cali Spoiler

Okay, not sure who thinks that AMA is boring right now but Superbike has got me sitting at the edge of my seat.

Spies was leading the AMA Superbikes and within the last races, Mladin ate up the gap and is tied with Spies both having 238 points.

Every race, Spies was riding like a maniac trying not to let Mladin get away.

Now that they are tied, who do you think will take over the lead and maybe even win the AMA championship?

Or 'in the zone' as they like to say.

Well, I am a believer in Spies. He is younger and determined. If he hadn't been held up by Yates the first laps in the second race and then again by a lapped rider, I am positive he could've gotten Mladin. Spies has it in him. He is just trying to make this season reallllllllly interesting ...

As much as I would like Ben to win... I think Matt is out to make a statement.

i really doubt that. Mladin is ready to win or lose everything. You don't make a season really interesting losing for more than 17 seconds lol

First race, yes but second race, Spies could've had Mat. He ran some laps even faster than Mat. He just got stuck behind Yates right at the beginning and then lapped traffic hurt his gap of 2.3 seconds. After he blew the turn, he just gave up. I don't blame him.

AMA= Yawn............. gee Suzuki again. Sorry but AMA racing is in the tank right now. Even on Tivo I'll skip to the last two laps and there is harldy ever a close one anymore. WSBK is killer racing between ALL the manufactures EVERY week. AMA is more like a Suzuki commercial........ IMO

Look beyond the bikes to the riders and don't skip to the last two laps, you are missing all the fun action inbetween! :icon_bigg

I like Spies ... but Mladin has the skills and experience. Don't matter much to me though, cause I'm always pulling for Zemke, not sure why.
