First sports bike

Hey guys, I'm a new member here and just got my first sports bike. I've had Harleys my whole life but decided to go a different route this time.
Any of yall veterans have any tips for a new guy?
Places to go?
Roads that are a fun ride?

I know to keep all my gear on, but I'm always willing to listen if anyone has some good advise to give to keep me and everyone else safe.
Ready to get out there, and maybe find a few guys willing to let me ride with them.
This is my new bike .

You chase turn arounds or something? Trying to get the long term looking weight set in front of a short term looking address. Lol

Yea something like that, came across a semi long term job and the neighboring trailer gave them to me , I'll probably just give them away when I move again.

Welcome. Great choice on the bike.
Stay on and check the meets and rides forum for sat-sun rides in groups, or check out roads northwest of houston, the usual hartley riders routes.

Well got rid of the 600 a while back and just recently upgraded... I got a 03 Hyabusa, and what a world of difference, I don't see myself getting to bored of this one as fast as I did with the 600... The gsxr 600 was a great bike but I'm really enjoying this 1300. Only problem I'm having now is finding some guys (or girls) to ride with. Don't get me wrong, taking a long ride by yourself is nice every now and then, but it's always a little more fun when you have someone to ride with... If anyone needs a riding buddy let me know... I'm always down to ride.Click image for larger version

I was going to say the same thing. Was pretty impressed at your fitness dedication on your temporary domicile. Enjoy your new bike!
