Buying Tickets to CoA

Hey guys, I wanted to go to an F1 and/or MotoGP event at the Circuits of Americas track either this year or next. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about which tickets are good to get?

I was thinking about General Admission, but then I saw some of the views from the grand stands and they looked really nice.

I became a little unsure because the picture they have if one of someone taking it from way over the area so you get a better field of vision in the picture, but I'm not sure about the view from actually being there.

Anyone have any advice or experience?

I do the ga because you can go all around the track rather than sitting in one place. I guess you could still do that with the grand stand seats but they are more expensive. But not really a huge deal to me to buy the grand stand seats over ga

So the visibility is good? Can you get a good view of what's going on?

GA sounds pretty cool if you can walk around the track.

Yep you can see almost every turn if you want to. You can sit on the grass hills or bring a chair

If you get seats turn 15 is great. You can see turns 3 thru 6 and 12 thru 15. And if you get the last row up high you can jump over the back and stand on the handicap area(as long as its not to crowded) to get a view if turn 1.

We've stayed there 2 years in a row.

So what are the dates of 2015 Austin GP?

If you do turn 15 make sure you get in the 10th row or higher and get more to the left side as you are facing the track.

I'd still say do ga and pocket the cash, you'll need the money if you plan on eating there.

Also a sidenote that's a very small technicality, but it's Circuit of THE Americas or COTA.

I've done GA and Turn 1, both were good. I'm actually considering camping at the track next year.

I enjoyed the upper seats in t12 more than those in t15. Just my .02. Otherwise, GA. That's what I'm doing for this year's F1 race

I've gone for GA so hopefully they are good! Does anybody have any recommendations on where to park a car? Driving from Houston on the Saturday but staying in Austin on the Saturday night so will be approaching the track from different directions each day.

Worth checking out Airbnb for accommodation as I got a pretty decent price through that.

You have to buy a COTA parking pass or be dropped off, they have acres and acres and acres of parking lots. Not sure of the price difference between buying them seperately at the track when you get there or before hand online.

I've parked in lot T behind Turn 1 both years. Pretty easy in and out. If you're going back to Houston its the best place to park in my opinion. It has 2 outlets, one on the main road and small drive out to a side street in the back that has been wide open the last couple of years. The attendance was so low last year that traffic was not a problem.

Lot T is a little more than I was looking to spend. Has anyone used the shuttle parking of FM973? oNLY $16.51+fees for the two days.
