Citizens Arrest/ticketing info...

Directed to any Leo's, attorney's etc...

Can ya provide information on how to go about getting someone stopped for running stop sign/stop light etc.

When I'm with my kids at the bus stop, I watch multiple cars blow through the stop sign... this morning, otw to work.. pull up to the stop sign and a see a truck coming. Wait to make sure he stops, and sure enough he never slows... just rolls right through the thing.

Figure on mounting my camera to the bike again, and trying to get some visual proof...but I'd love to find a way to follow it up and get something done.

Call the Sheriff's or the Constable's department and have them put a car there for a few days.

If there are kids at the bus stop I'd say it is!

But I digress, in your world certain things shouldn't have to pertain to you.

"Call the Sheriff's or the Constable's department and have them put a car there for a few days"

Already planned on, when I can get free from the phones...
..but trying to find wether one can get info, call report and pd follow
up etc. NOT attempt to force someone over and 'arrest' them...as zippy above presumed.

sorry but the thought of someone trying to arrest someone for running a stop sign is comedy to me.

Yea presumed... comprehension would require reading and an attempt at intelligent thought beyond a limp/lame attempt to troll.

I'd of expected a "Mind Expansion Enthusiast" to display a better demonstration of cognitive function/ability.

I did read. I did comprehend. No need to get personal, friend.
The title of this thread, once again, mentions Citizen's Arrest.
The second sentence of this thread is "Can ya provide information on how to go about getting someone stopped for running stop sign/stop light etc."
Now, you could take that to mean that you want to get someone stopped by a Cop, but what the does that have to do with a citizen's arrest?
Or you could take it to mean that you want to stop someone, which makes a lot more sense considering the aforementioned title of this thread.

A citizen CAN have a policeman write a citation but you'll have to be the witness. (don't ask me how I know).

Film the incident making sure that you film the license plate and the driver. A police officer will have to find the person and write them a ticket. The policeman will have to put your name on the ticket as a witness then you'll have to show up in court with your video.

How is a stop sign unnecessary? If you were going through that stop sign and they ran it and killed you, would it have been a "necessary" stop sign.

When one road's very low traffic and you can see down it a very far way from the intersecting road, it's not necessary to have a stop sign on each road. One road in my neighborhood annoys me particularly. If one road's really busy and the other ones aren't, then there should only be a stop sign for the non-busy ones.

Cloverleaf has mostly Yield signs instead of Stop signs. I always hated driving through there and ended up stopping at every street anyway because I don't trust other drivers. Different sign, same result.
