question about a ticket

I got a ticket for 65 in a 35. The judge offered defensive driving. On my papers it says if on a motorcycle you have to take an approved motorcycle course to drop the ticket. Where can I take a class online to dismiss cause dd is $30 online and the only motorcycle class I can find is an advanced riders course for $120 and I have to go in person.

Sounds about right. Check the sponser section for schools that offer the classes.

After you complete the class do some track days if you want to learn your bike in a safer environment. I recommend Fastline.

I've also taken defensive driving three times in one year. It appears that judges can approve whatever they want.

for less than 25 over, and not having taken defensive in the last year you are technically entitled to take DD. Outside of those parameters a judge can still execute some discretion. I had a judge let me take DD less than a year after taking it to dismiss another ticket just because I asked. Stranger things happen.

I believe that there are Trackday organizations that count as an approved Motorcycle Related Safety Course. Just Saying.

Sorry I failed to realize everyone in the world by me never goes over the speed limit. If you must know it was on a country road no one ever usually around and a Pearland cop got me like 1 or 2 miles from the city limit. But thanks for the opinion.

Yeah I don't really drive like I'm on a track, was just in a hurry that day and just happened to get caught.

it was nearly 2x the speed limit, so somebody thought it was prudent enough to make it only 35, and I guess local cops thought enough to patrol it

Just count yourself lucky, that's usually an expensive ticket

its always ways to break the speed limit when its 35. One day I hope to aspire to become the perfect motorcycle operated you are so I may cast down judgement on all those who do not follow my perfect ways.

One day ill get there bro, take pity on all us normal human beings. In racer x we trust, amen.

I thought it was funny .. Racer been waiting for someone to acknowledge his a .. and this guy prayed to him

In all fairness what the OP got from the judge is rare for over 25. If the OP does a search for DD internet classes I recall seeing some for Motorcycles when I took it earlier this year for a speeding ticket in the truck.

Always ask for deferred judification. . I use it for all kinds of stuff where I'm at. . Not that i constantly break the laws but over the course of the past 12 years. . Only been denied once it off probably a dozen times or more.
