the mirror on your bike sucks...I can see out of mine. If you can't see then they make riser blocks for most makes that will make them more usable.

you should be able to see at least what's behind you with your mirrors at quick glance. I always look behind me when changing lanes just to be sure not relying solely on the mirrors, but make glances quick because the road in front can change quickly....

yeah, i have move my arm over a couple inches to see BEHIND me, or i just turn around. i dont always trust my mirrors.
