Selling a bike and person interested in purchasing asked for vin.

A guy is interested in buying a bike I have for sale, and asked for the vin because of an issue with my registration. What can he do with that vin, in a negative aspect? I know he is a member on here. Thanks for any info.

Nothing negative. The vin is easily accessible on all vehicle so if you could do anything, you could never park and walk away. Probably just wanting to search the history to make sure it hasnt been wrecked with an insurance claim or reported stolen, which a buyer should do anyways even if you dont have state registration issues.

He's probably read enough posts on this forum to realize that almost every thread goes to with useless banter (like I'm adding here) in due time...at least that's how I read it. Let the dipshittery commence!
