first post has to be a bad one.

Hello all. as you can see this is my very first post and it is not a good one. yesterday while out riding my cousin and her husband were cutoff by a lady. She clipped the front wheel of his bike and caused the bike to do a front flip putting him headfirst into the concrete. he was not wearing his helmet, he had lent it to my cousin. He was lifeflighted to memorial hermann hospital and she was taken there by ambulance. she is as well as can be expected she was released last night, but she had very bad road rash on her back and her right arm. Her husband is not as lucky, at the time of the accident he was not breathing. luckily some off duty nurses happened to be driving by at the time of the accident. They cut a hole in his throat and used a mascara tube so he could breathe. He had excess pressure in his head and had holes drilled and a tubed attached to drain the fluid. he has slipped into a coma, and is not breathing by himself, he needs a breathing machine. the outlook is grim please put a fellow rider in your prayers. he has an 8yo boy and a 3yo girl waiting for him not including all of his friends and family.thank you in advance. i might not be able to check this very often because i am on my way to the hospital. be safe out there and always were your gear. also while in the emergency room waiting , there were 4 other families there last night also with people in the e.r. due to moto accidents .

If it doesn't stop, you can bet on the lawmakers steping in to do something soon. Sorry for the fallen but they really should have taken precaution.

hope for the best. No matter how many people talk about wearing a helmet or not it's not really gonna change anyones mind untill something like comes close to them. Hopefully ONE person will read what happened to these 2 and decide to wear a helmet when they normally would not.
As Brian said eventually THE MAN is gonna step in with some new laws, maybe outlaw motorcycles?
later and positive vibes for your family
