There were multiple today. Heard the last one was a rider hitting the wall. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

On a side note, do they not use an air wall at MSRH to cover the pit wall?

I can only speak for the first life flight. That one was on the start. Josh, I only saw one air wall at the end of the front straight in turn 17. (Sugar and spice)

As was stated, one was at the start of a race, and the other 2 were caused by one rider hitting the wall and another rider hitting him.

I pray all riders are well cared for and wish them a speedy recovery.

They do, but apparently not enough coverage. May be part of the of reason the rest of the was day was canceled.

They only run CW. The air fence doesn't go very far down the pit wall.

It was my endurance teammate that got hurt in the first incident. I still don't know what hospital he is at. Others were hurt too, nothing life threatening, but pelvises and vertebae hurt.

There was a much worse incident of a couple of friends later in the day. Unrelated. It was a bad day. They closed the track.

This thread was asking for info, not for the general mh public to dole out opinions, give condition updates, or direct prayers or positive energy. Respect for privacy should be paramount in life threatening situations. No one wants to be told over the internet that a loved one is seriously hurt or even deceased. Thats why I asked for pm. Thanks to those who updated me.

So, you have friends and team mates involved and you turn to the interwebs for info but only private info? If you think the info you are looking for may be sensitive try a phone call or text.
The thing is this is the internet. It's PUBLIC! How hard is that for some of you to understand? Hey public, I need info.....goddamnit! That's too much info!

Hey Toe, I asked for pms or texts. Those are private forms of communication. I got the info i needed quickly. You added nothing to this thread but negativity.

I understand that it can be confusing weather releasing the name of the riders injure breaches medical confidentiality, it doesn't. We should focus on wishing them well.
