CBR 250r Front Sprocket Change

Anyone done it? I got the OEM Sprocket (JTs was off, heard they had a bad batch...found that out).

When putting the sprocket on...it seems the retaining clip wont like up unless you pull the sprocket forward on the gear..is this suppose to be the way it is?

Used the following thread when changing mine. Took a couple tries to get the retaining plate to match up correctly. Try flipping things. I forgot exactly how it worked out (it was last November). Honestly, I think it was my wife that flipped the little plate and then it fit, lol. I don't remember pulling the sprocket forward on the gear at all.

When 13T up front. Feels good for city riding.

I don't think so... It's been a long time, and I remember being in the same exact situation, wondering why it didn't line up. I'm sorry I'm not being much help.

I would have to take my sprocket cover off real quick to look at it, which I might be able to do since I was wanting to uncover my bike and get it on the stand and do chain maintenance anyway (if it doesn't rain, no garage).

I honestly think we either flipped the sprocket or the retaining piece and suddenly everything lined up correctly.
