If its the same guys.....

There was a thread about them last year. I rode TWS (Texas World Speedway) with them. Great uncrowded track time for experienced riders. Not run well enough that I would recommend any beginners ride with them.

basically if you can look out for your own safety, ya can't beat their price point.

They almost cost someone's life because they let a level 1 rider loose on the level 3 group. Lets just say they're not doing any tds at TWS (Texas World Speedway) anytime soon (ever)

There's a huge thing still going on about it til this day.

My understanding this was a business formed due to the manner in which one of the principals in Extreme was treated when he went to a trackday. Not necessarily because it made good business sense, or was something said fellow was passionate about. This is all hearsay, LOL, so don't take my word for it. But, look at previous threads to see how things went at previous events.

Disclaimer, I support Fastline, direct competition for Extreme. And I even hit up a Ridesmart event or two each year. And, of course, the LSTD events before the CMRA race weekends. Haven't had the urge to try Extreme.

this thread will probably get deleted but i didnt know they were still doing trackdays. i havent seen any advertising.

http://extrememotorsportstrackdays.com/

call me a adrenaline junkie, even though their employee's dumped coolant in turn 1 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) right before the track day started (leaking jeep) and a rider is still paying financial and health wise (for the rest of his life) for their mistakes.

I'll go do a trackday there, just gotta keep my eyes open for what they're going to try and throw at me at the track

I heard the at-fault rider last July was a "level2" rider, in a level 3 session.

there were multiple eff ups that day, many.

rider admitted he was paying more attention to the time on his phone and going to the levels.

the track marshall let MULTIPLE level 1 level 2 riders into the level 3 group.

and a bunch of other issues that has put that owner in a bad position, the injured rider in a bad position, and the at fault rider in a bad position and the track marshall in a bad position.

What 'bad positions' could the other rider and track marshal be in? (Other than emotional ones?)

I was unaware of any incident(s) previously mentioned. I've ridden with them at TWS (Texas World Speedway), and if I remember right the price was dirt cheap, around $60. For lack of better wording it was an open track day. Get out and ride. I enjoyed it, but can't attest to their safety or apparently lack there of. It seems every track day you go to regardless of org someone ends up messing up. Really the nature of the beast. The guy who went over the wall coming onto the main straight at TWS (Texas World Speedway), as well as the two riders colliding at TWS (Texas World Speedway), one being the instructor. Those were with apparently more "reputable" orgs, but if the org itself was at fault that's a different story.

All im sayin is ill go do a track day no matter what org. Its with as long as its during my time off . I have only been able to do 1 trackday this year due to my work schedule . On the plus side .... i think i could handle one unorganized trackday if ive been able to survive 10 yrs of riding houston streets and many a many of routes back in the day with pp1 crews when i only wore gloves and a helmet

Yeah, Thanks. So it's a open track day org. that's OK with me I ride L2 and L3 sometimes. I just don't want to pay $100.00 and haul 4 hours round trip too end up -off. Think I will give them a try.
