COTA 2A Video playlist

So here’s my playlist of Level 2A on Sunday at COTA.

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...GmBXUXm9QHZJmN

It was a great weekend even with the trailering issues. These were my 1st TD’s this year and I only did a a day last year at TWS (Texas World Speedway). So I’m a little rusty.

I actually ran a 2:52 on the new Bridgestone S20’s I ran on Sat. I have yet to go thru and edit/upload those vid’s. If you were in the 2A group on Sun. All the early sessions I went out in the rear and followed and passed several riders each session. I was riding by lvl. 1 passing rules so I was following only thru the turns. In the last 2 or 3 I went out closer to the front and got more open track.

2A Session 2 The track is still damp from the rain the night before in this session and at the 13 minute mark you can catch a second or 2 of a brand spanking new (w/paper plates) BMW HP4 flip flopping out past turn 20. The bike withstood the crash amazingly well. When they got it back to the pits I took a quick look at it and I've seen worse damage from bikes falling over while sitting still.

2A Session 3 Just another Sunday cruise at the park. With freight trains galore. Ran thru the pits to let them go.

2A Session 4 At 6:10 in this video was a close call with another rider who blew turn 20 and then came back across as I was about to make an inside pass on him.

2A Session 5 The last 2 full laps of this session were my fastest 2 laps of the weekend a 2:48.3 followed by a 2:48.2. I used the end of the blend line at pit out as my start/finish line.

2A Session 6. My first good session without running into any freight trains.

2A Session 7 This was a shortened 15 minute session. It was a good session I had open track most of the time. And my lap times were very consistent. I'm still running a bit wide at some turns, but I'm getting there.

I forgot that in session 4 at 12:30 I ran in deep at the end if the front straight. Then got I the brakes hard enough to pick up the rear end. The nearest thing to a stoppie I've ever done.
