Fresh off tha grill!

Hola everyone! I saw a link to this site on HPD when im a regular and i decided to check it out becuase im very interested in getting a bike sometime in the future! The only problem is i dont know anything about them...

Hopeing to learn a lot and make a good choice!

BTW i drive a Collector Edition Trans-Am so it would be cool to have a matching yellow and black bike!

Howdy!

Go take the MSF before you get a bike.
Then buy small and work your way up. Be patient and you'll have many years of riding ahead of you.
There are alot of people here that will be happy to help you out and give you TONS of advice(whether you want it or not, youre getting it! j/k)

I really like the R6 and the CBR600rr. This is based on style alone....so i basically dont know anything about bikes. I understand mechanics well but as far as which is better and all that jazz im lost :(

The only difference is the rider, buy a smaller bike to start with though. Try the MSF and get use to a 250... This is a case where looks can kill. Sure an R6 looks cool and way better than a Ninja 250, but the 250 will keep you in your ability and still can even hurt you in a bad way. Plus you don't want to get a $9,000 bike just to drop it a week later due to inexperience.

Understood. A lot of my techs here have bikes but they are all 1000cc's or more! The only one that isnt is the Ducati but its some kinda special race edition or something...i dunno. What kinda gas milage do 600's usually get?

Honestly its all in how you gonna ride it. you burn off at every light just like a car it going to suck down the petro fast.

Get a bike that fits your experience, not your techs. You're an idiot if your buying one to impress others. No offense, but it's not a big screen, just because they have something bigger and better doesn't mean you have to be keeping up with the Jones's... Make sense? You life may depend on it.

Glad to hear it, take it easy on your 600 to begin with. I wouldn't try and go out from the get go. I'm not trying to be a d!ck, just trying to keep you alive. There have been too many wrecks lately, just don't want to hear about another anytime soon. Ya know!

keyword there *after* you learn to ride... good choice. look at the ninja 250's or 500 or the 650. the 650 is alot like the suzuki SV 650 but with fairings if you like that style. those are all pretty forgiving bikes. just stay within your limits, not everyone elses
