Front brake problem

I was going to ride my buddy's 08 r6 yesterday and when I was getting it out of the garage I noticed something strange about the front brakes. The lever feels like there might not be any fluid in the lines but it's full and I can pull the lever all the way until it hits the grip. Also, while I have it pulled all the way to the grip I can still move the front wheel. Any suggestions?

What color is the fluid? Either way it needs to be bled...

is it typical for air to get into the lines if it sits? its been sitting for about a month and the fluid color looks golden.

Bleed the lines. Did he just put some fancy new stainless lines on it?

Did he do anything to the brake system around the last time it was ridden?

If you need brake pads, I have a set that are slightly used and id sell for really cheap. Ferrdo xrac pads, theyre 120ish new. You can have em for 30

Also that bike comes stock with a nice brembo master cylinder and your brakes should feel amazing on that bike. Id bleed the lines with rbf600.

If you're in the nw part of town and need some help, I can help out.
