i want to paint the gixxa

not now, but mebbe this summer. i already have the paint scheme in mind, but im wondering about the wheels. my gixxer has the blue wheels. are they painted or anodized? they look painted to me, but i dont know . can they BE painted? it would reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally make all the difference.
