Maybe you would rather have him diddling a choirboy (which the Catholic church is famous for) or maybe getting caught with a prostitute//embezzling money (which many Protestant preachers are famous for)?

Dude got drunk and got on his bike. If that's the worst he's done then he needs to practice more. No one is perfect and for sure especially the ones who claim to be "religious" aren't.

love how the media has to report that he had a "glock 45" when he wrecked. Does anyone believe that they would have reported a "Ruger LCR", SIGP220" or any other brand than a Glock? no. Another instance of the media chasing "the black gun".

Also notice that it doesn't say if he was wearing a helmet or not. When the rider is NOT wearing a helmet they sure as point it out. When they are, you NEVER see it mentioned.

Thats right because

"driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon."

Isnt a serious crime at all....wake the up. Hes drunk, he could shoot someone, hes drunk he could kill a family with his bike...etc.

He deserves the book thrown at him.

No doubt. I've done it (and a lot more) before and didn't get caught. Doesn't make it right though. You get caught then you gotta pay. Easiest way to not get caught is to not "do it".

I've seen guys drive drunk. They coulda killed someone. I've also seen guys hit triple digits on the public highway. They coulda killed someone too.

What's the penalty for "unlawful carrying of a weapon"?

He can argue that he is in his vehicle unless he has a felony

his best arguement of the weapon is that he is in a "vehicle" but even if he had a chl you still have something like a carrying limit similar to drivers license. They also could say that he was off his bike and he was concealing.

Try not to be a dumbass. The "media" was told by police that he was carrying a Glock 45. This may come as a big shock to you so please brace yourself. Some members of the "media" are riders, some hardcore. Grow the up

A drunk dumbass carrying a handgun and doing triple digits is more likely to kill someone than a stone cold sober rider doing triple digits.

FYI, look who wrote the story: Author: Matt Aufdenspring, Web Managing Editor, Click2Houston.com, Nakia Cooper, Sr. Web Editor

I guaran--teeyou the two folks that wrote the story never left the building. All info in that story came directly from police.

It's unlawful to consume alcohol while carrying a handgun. Or to carry concealed in an establishment that's majority profit comes from the selling of alcohol.

Regardless if he has a CHL, he was doing the wrong thing from the start.

Bevo I have never personally attacked/insulted you yet time and time again you show YOUR immaturity and bravado from the safety of anonymity. YOU are the one who needs to grow the up. Cowards hide behind a keyboard and type things like that. Geez, you have the immaturity (and ) of a 10 year old.

As for who told the media that it was a Glock and would they have said if it was any other brand, that's fine that it was the police. They have only slightly more respect in my eyes than those that publish things to make a sensational headline.

I don't hide behind a keyboard. I always introduce myself as "Bevo" every time I'm on a group ride or MH event.

No one wants to take responsibility for their actions anymore. It's ridiculous to defend someone just because they ride a motorcycle. Plenty of motorcycle thieves ride motorcycles.
Someone does something stupid it gets reported and it's always the media's fault. If the media wanted to sensationalize the story they could have written something idiotic like "Glocks are the weapon of choice of thugs". If they wanted to sensationalize it they could have made reference to this idiot as being a preacher and posted a link and pictures from he website. Let's blame the messenger for what this dumbass has done.

Sorry if I offended you but your certainly offended me because you want to defend this dumbass or minimalize what he did.
