Very sad. The motorcyclist was going too fast for the traffic conditions but still I see it over and over where drivers simply can't wait the whole 2 1/2 mississippis it would take to let the vehicle with the right of way pass before crossing or pulling out. I did see you is an excuse too many people use to try and get out of being at fault. Most of the time the reality is of a true confession would be, "I did see you but I was in a hurry so I thought I could turn or whatever before you got to me, but I was wrong for not yeilding the right of way to the traffic on the main lanes." Why because it doesn't matter how fast the traffic is going, the person on the main lanes has the right of way and the person entering/crossing is responsible for doing so safely. That said there is such a thing as being DEAD right.
