Wow sad that he died, but passing cars and doing 100 in that situation is just dumb. I feel sorry for his parents, and hope he had no kids.

Well, I've seen my fair share of people dying on the internet before, but never from a first-person perspective. It was extra weird to see the camera view stationary in the dirt. First of all, it's sad that this happened. Second, it appeared that he was driving way faster than he had any business driving on that road.

I agree that he was driving way too fast for the conditions, but the person in the car was a complete idiot who needs their license revoked.........forever. The guy could have been going 25mph and still not avoided that collision.

He was riding way too fast for that traffic. I hate to say it but it I doubt the other driver had much time to recognize how fast the bike was going. Its a pretty stark reminder of the risks we accept to ride

the first time i watched it, i didn;t know when it was going to happen but before he even reacted i saw the car pull into the turn lane. he should have seen it long before he did if he was riding defensively. riding offensively can cost your life on a motorcycle

No.

The car sees the motorcycle on the road and is afforded the liberty of assuming that he is doing the speed limit (or at least close to it). He was not. If a car changed lanes in front of me when I was going 100+ in the car, I wouldn't act like it was their fault when I rear-ended them. How could I expect them to know I was going that fast?

That sucks. But I agree that was riding way too fast for the conditions. There is no way that the car could have known that he was traveling that fast...so I really don't blame the cager...at a normal speed he could have avoided that.

RIP and prayers to the family...

Having been in that same exact situation, it is horribly sadnd drags up old memories. I don't think he was doing 100+ though. I think it was more like 70ish. If you look at the speedo needle. I am guessing that bike has probably 150mph as a top indication and it was about 1/2 way through that range. Still too fast for the conditions.
Sad...

The ca never stopped before turning across the road, it was taking an early entry, clearly only cinsudering the car which yes the motorcycle passed, but keep in mind this had nothing to do with the motorcycles speed and everything to do with people in cars look through and past bikes to to nearest danger to them. RIP.
