Purhcased a bike at a Dealership- Need some guidance

Back on July 10th, I purchased an R6 at a well known dealership and went through GE Yamaha to finance the bike. To keep this short and simple, I've yet to receive any type of note to make payments on. I've called GE and they have no record of my VIN in their system. I've made multiple calls to the dealership and was told someone would look into it. With no call backs and more VM's left with the finance manager, I'm going to make a personal trip tomorrow on my day off to see what's going on.

Is this normal? I feel two months is quite enough time to get the ball rolling between the finance dept and GE. I'm also still riding on temp tags because of all this and that expiration date is nearing soon.

Do you have the paperwork that you signed? It should have financing info int here somewhere. When I got my car it took over two months for my notes to come in.

I ended up looking on the paperwork and finding the finance company, then calling them to make payments because I never mail bills in anyways.

Unfortunately the auto industry sucks huge donkey in general and they are there to rip you off as much as possible and that's about it. You can pretty much forget any form of customer service after they get your money...unless lack of service involves losing money, then it's a different story.

Well that's the thing, I bypassed the dealership and called the finance company myself to start making payments and they have no clue who I am or the VIN. Although their name and all the info is on the paperwork.

Sorry I misunderstood. I thought you were only talking with the dealership.

Yeah that's BS, especially since it's yamaha financing.

The wheelie thru the front door seems a little abrasive.

Try sending them a letter certified mail. If they don't respond, hey, free bike.

Its very typical with cars to not make the first payment for at least 45 days

Understandable but I've never had to wait almost two months for my tags much less call a finance dept\dealership after a purchase. You don't want to see me after the sale and I don't want to see you. I guess my patience has run out and I want to make sure the money I put down on a bike actually went towards the TTL so I don't have to garage a toy because I can't legally ride it.

Tomorrow I hope they are kind enough to let me know what the deal is and extend another temp tag so I can continue to be patient with their process of selling a bike.

I wouldn't sweat it these things happen.

Just go in there like you were talking about. I'm sure if you're in their face they'll get it figured out.

Honda and Acura dealerships have always done me good. I guess I should have kept the trend and bought a Honda bike as well?

I just called again and they still do not have my tags. They will however make some new temporary tags for the time being. I'm going to pick them up tomorrow and talk to Finance while I'm there just to be sure all is well.
